Bio

Jonas left a highly awarded career as a writer in advertising to become a wedding photographer. More than one eyebrow was raised, but he had an idea that stories through wedding photography could be told differently. Should be told differently.

Today he’s one of the most sought after destination wedding photographers around, shooting weddings all around the world. He has shot weddings in almost all parts of the world, using his unique storytelling through simple – yet beautiful – imagery.

Jonas work has been published all around the world, ranging from wedding photography magazines to American Vogue. He is the current QLD AIPP Professional Photographer of the Year, QLD AIPP Wedding Photographer of the Year and one of his wedding albums was this year named the Australian Wedding Album of the Year.

In 2013, he was named “Best Wedding Photographer in the World” at the¬†inaugural [F] Awards during WPPI in Las Vegas.

He’s also been named one of the Top Ten Wedding Photographers in the World by¬†prestigious American Photo Magazine.

When he’s not shooting weddings, he teaches wedding photography workshops or spends time with his friends.

His home is Melbourne, Australia, but he’s on the road around the world for half of the year, so never assume he won’t be able to shoot your wedding, no matter where it is.

He also finds it absolutely ludicrous writing about himself in third person.
