I’ve been so lucky

It’s early Monday morning and I’m packing my camera gear again. I can hear the rain hammering down outside and this weather reminds of my childhood Christmases back in Sweden. When people talk about Christmas here, I often mutter, “this isn’t Christmas”. I remember the cold and the snow and spending most of the holidays inside with family.

But it wasn’t really snowing that much when I was a kid.

I grew up in the south of Sweden and the climate there is more like London, it can get cold and most often wet, but snow on Christmas? In the city? I don’t think so.

Anyway.

I know I said I’d start fresh here with more personal content, but somehow Christmas came first, no matter the weather.

I’m packing my gear again. Later today I fly down to Sydney and the last wedding of the year. This could easily evolve into one of my, “I’ve been so lucky, lucky, lucky, lucky” posts, but let’s just say I’m packing my camera gear with a smile on my lips. My stress levels are very low and I’m looking forward to both this wedding and the ones I have booked next year.

I have so much I want to do and I can’t wait to get started.

Come on, 2010.

Bring it on.

  2. Yep, plenty of snow here in the southernish part of Sweden this year. But there’s even snow back in Edinburgh where I live these days.

  3. Trust me; this year all of Sweden’s had a white christmas. And the snow just keeps coming. A Happy New 2010 to you and your family!
