This is a fantastic photograph Jonas and I think you’ve captured Clair really well. Photographers can sometimes be the hardest subjects because they’re so used to being on the other side of the lens…

Jag är glad för din skull, att det verkar gå så fruktansvärt bra för ditt fotograferande, ditt företag och din familj. Och dina bilder är lika fantastiska som alltid. Du verkar lyckligare nu än någonsin.
Men jag saknar verkligen din gamla blogg och alla dina inlägg om allt möjligt. Fyra ankor och en röv, Nålen, Being John Fiskovich, Julafton 1979. Och dina bilder som inte var bröllopsbilder utan bara fantastiska små snapshots från livet i Australien.

Brilliant light, loving it.
I’ve been a bad blogger lately. Mainly because I’ve been busy working, but also because I’ve had some time off. This is actually the last weekend I have off in I don’t know how long and I’m trying to enjoy it as much as possible. At the same time I’m very much looking forward to all the weddings I have ahead of me this year. I’ve shot four already, but it feels like the real season starts now.
And I’m ready.
Next weekend I’m shooting a wedding on Bethell’s Beach in New Zealand and I can’t tell you how excited I am. The bride, Zilla, and her partner, Jon, couldn’t have chosen a more beautiful place. I admit I just wrote the last sentence to be able to write bride Zilla, but still. Bethell’s Beach is where they shot the movie The Piano and even though I’ve never been there I have seen photos. It will be very different.

The first two photos. Are you using a flash to light their clothes and hands? Or is the sun so weak at that time of day that you just can play around with aperture or use a grey-filter?

Jonas - @Human: Yeah, this is very close to sunset, so the light is not as harsh. I don’t use reflectors or flash.
